January 22, 2022- Saturday Declutter Crew Week 4 of January.

 Saturday Declutter Crew

Week 4 of January.

How do you feel now after being intentional or lets say mindful of your sleep/ bed surroundings?

Having a week left to finish up my 4 corners seems daunting, but I have to push myself or  I will get no where fast, right?

Did you small wins in other areas? I know some in this group did little in their bedrooms yet accomplish more in other areas and that's wonderful. These exercises and suggestions are guidelines to eventually get around to your entire living space.

This will get you thinking of where to remove and declutter certain high traffic areas. How about your closet in your bedroom? What does that look like for you? How many  different sizes of clothes do you have ? Have you heard of the the old trick where you place all hangers in the same direction. after wearing them and being laundered- put them the opposite direction so in 3 months you will see from the hanger direction which clothes you didn't wear once. Even do it every 6 months to cover your seasonal wardrobe.

The end of January is coming near. Do you have a plan of attack for the last week discussing our bedrooms? Again, you are going to get out of this -  the time and effort you put into it. Have some reflection time and see what you want and can do this last week.

Take pictures of what your bedroom looks like. What does it represent after 3 weeks? Three Saturdays. Was there effort? A desire? Too sick? Too tired? Too Busy? Totally unmotivated? You know what you are capable of. You know your desires and excuses. At times, we have to get out of our own way. And just do.

May this week be better then last week. You got this. xoxo

January 1, 2022- Saturday Declutter Crew First Day

January 1, 2022- Saturday Declutter Crew

January is a month to pay attention to where you sleep and it’s surroundings. Lay in your bed and look around. Be still and Breathe. What do you see? What do you feel? What looks like it doesn’t belong? What feels cozy?

For me, I sleep on a sofa bed right smack in the living room. I see my journal /junk corner. My secretary desk with lots of decor and pictures. Imagine it a store front - would you love what you see? What parts would you display differently?

This assignment is for an entire month be intentional where you sleep. Clear the clutter. Rearrange - get rid of - clean- donate or trash. Clean and decorate as if you were having a grand opening at your very own store.

This exercise is 30 days long and we will check in every Saturday.

No need to spend money, work with what you have. If you live with others ask their input.
Mainly ask yourself, how do you want to represent your storefront to your self?

At the end of the month we will discuss more on how you did, what blockages surfaced.

Or if you didn’t need to change a thing?

Talk next week.

Start today.

Set a timer for 10 minutes or more and straighten out to start. Increase it each day to get a routine.

Write down a plan on what you want to change. You have 30 days. You can do it.

Reading Cozy White Cottage Seasons 100 Ways to be Cozy all year long by Liz Marie Galvan.

My intention is to one day implement these suggestions once I’m organized myself. I have way too much around me. I’m working these steps, too. Let’s cheer one another on.

This is my before picture. I suggest you take one, too. You need to see progress for this to work. Like anything in life. You will get out of it what you put into it.

I’m writing, journaling and this looks like a hot mess, there are things  I so need  to work on. I’m doing this with you .

I totally need to clean the bottom of my desk area and add a comfy chair.

So the 30 days begins.
Don’t forget to take your before pictures!
