Welcome to my little Blogging Corner of the World. I started this blog in September 2010!. Thank you for visiting my quirky life with pictures, budgeting tips, foodie recommendations, make up favorites and more. They say we should find our niche and stick to it. My mind doesn’t work like that because I like all the things. I have a feeling there’s many just like me.

Jamberry Nail Wraps with Cynthia Parrott
Meet my lovely friend Cynthia pictured here with her adorable daughter, Anna.
Cynthia is beginning a new adventure with selling Jamberry Nails! Love it!
New business card:
After lots of trial and error, the proprietary nail wraps of Jamberry Nails launched in late 2010. The DIY, at-home application and incredible variety of designs caught on quickly and sales soared. A new era of nail art was born.
Gone are the days of nails that chip and flake after only a few days! Gone are the days of the single colored manicure. Gone are the mani/pedis that take all afternoon and most of your cash too! Jamberry nail wraps arm you with style and confidence while demanding very little of your time or money.

New business card:
Took this from Cynthia's Website: Cynthia Parrott Jamberry Website
The story of Jamberry Nails begins with three sisters who possess distinct personal tastes, but share a love for style. After an expensive afternoon together at the nail salon, Lyndsey, Christy and Keri vowed to find a simpler, more cost effective way to keep their hands looking polished, while still spending time together.

Barrett Ranch House in Jamul,CA via SOHO San Diego
Barrett Ranch House
I pass by this house at least once a week on my way to the Jamul Post Office .
It's sad how it's abandoned and nothing is being done about it.
I would love to make it into a Community Farmers Market.
Any investors? lol
This 1891 two-story Victorian farmhouse in Jamul has been abandoned for years now and is deteriorating as we speak. The wood facades and special architectural elements, such as double front porches and a bay window, are still painted barn-red with white trim, as is the large barn next to the house. It appears vandals have stripped the interior and uninvited guests may have made it their home. The house stands on a 185-acre property once owned by Hal Simpson, a nurseryman from Los Angeles. He opened Simpson's Nursery on 25 of the acres during the 1960s. Once an East County attraction, the nursery closed, leaving the abandoned house even more vulnerable. Who is responsible for the site is still a bit of a mystery.

Simple Monday Morning Memories
Blessed to have Monday mornings off! Whenever someone passes by I wave like old friends. They do wave back yet I'm sure wondering why I'm the only one with my window blinds opened. I've turned into my Mom. Every morning, a cup of coffee and open the curtains. I once read, we never leave home, we take it with us.

Spring Time 2015 with Photo Editor Pic-Monkey
Had a few hours in between dropping off Julia (16) at school. Decided to drop by Skyline Church Cafe for coffee and quiet time before playing Facilities Manager at Ace Self Storage. After reading emails stopping by Facebook, I ended up on PicMonkey. The following are pictures I took last summer. With a few editing tricks the photos really take on a life of their own.

This is a picture on a wall taken with my Canon PowerShot SX210 IS I added the "Dark Edges" effect to darken bringing out the softer tones. |
My Bible, I added "Bokeh Shapes" which gave the effects of little crosses! |

PIC-MONKEY LOVE IT! PHOTO EDITING 1-2-3 Easy Peasy!!!
Wanted to share pictures I created with the website Pic-Monkey .This photo editing site is really user friendly. Believe me, I like easy peasy. It's taking an ordinary picture and making it unique for your blog or scrapbooking.
Here are just a few pictures. This is a great resource if you want to share pictures with your blog name. Also, it makes those photos that can use some touch ups, really look pleasing to the eye! I'm currently on the 30 day free trial. After that it will be $4.99 a month. That's a great deal!

Rolling Stones Bracelet : Good luck charm for Honors Geometry
Then I noticed her Rollingstones Bracelet. I've heard of the band and have seen the logo for many years . I'm sure I've heard their music yet to tell you what they sing , I haven't a clue!
I shamed Julia by not knowing if Rolling Stones was one word or two. This is the look I received.
Guess I won't be getting the cool Mom award anytime soon!
